How do we hear from God? God speaks in many ways – through circumstances, people, creation and the clearest way is through His Word. “For the word of God [is] quick, and powerful, and sharper than any two edged sword… and [is] a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.” Heb 4:12
It is incredible to have God speak to you as you read the Bible. It is almost as if something will jump off the page that directly relates to your circumstances. It is hard to believe that something written so long ago can be so relevant to everyday life and the situations we experience.
It doesn’t matter if you start in the Old or New Testament. I challenge you to start reading and ask the Holy Spirit to open up your heart to hear what God wants to tell you. He loves you and I know He has a lot to say!
